ORCHESTRA | SETTING | REPERTOIRE | PROJECTS | EVENT CALENDAR   The idea for the Youth Orchestra first came to life due to the excellent accomplishments by the IPDAE Music School. Created in August 2006, the Orchestra is composed by students from the Music School. This group is driven by the feeling of achievement when a music is performed. The smile on their face is just contagious.The performers are young determined musicians. They are enthusiastic about what they do and put their heart and joy in every note played and devote themselves earnestly to the world of classical music. They age from 11 to 16 years old. The Orchestra has become a source of joy and delight, fascinating and amusing whoever gets involved. Directed by the violinist Rosângela dos Santos, the IPDAE Youth Orchestra performs works of classical and folkloric music and focuses on the social and cultural benefits that music may provide to the members of the project, their relatives, and the whole community. The Orchestra has been performing at community theaters, schools and cultural centers. |
