Music is magic!

It brings people together, entertains, captivates, excites. Music is a universal language.

When we sing we improve many of our music-related skills, such as musicality as form of artistic expression, music appreciation, hearing perception, intonation, analysis of music genres, corporal expression, sense of rhythm.

Rather than merely teaching rhythms and notes, music education cares about developing the whole child.

Through singing, children broaden their creativity, affectionateness, reasoning and team spirit. In addition, they improve their self-esteem, enhance expression and thus build up of their cultural baggage. These elements work to spark an interest in children in areas of study, play and musical creativity.

The IPDAE Children’s Choir is formed by 44 children, aging from 6 to 10. Its main purpose is to encourage music education and to develop artistic expression on children through the soulful act of singing. When music education is based on group activities, the sense of discipline, organization and mutual self respect become the guiding elements of the methods applied. Music is a great way for children to socialize.

Our educators foster the true values of group work as a form of cooperative learning and encourage children to overcome difficulties, while maintaining respect for diversity and the development of personal skills.

The repertoire is rich and proper to this age group.
